CONCERT CORNER- Glass Pennies

Saw a new friend's band play at 37th and Zen in Norfolk during the break.

Totally solid.

For a two piece these two dudes can pack a punch. The venue was pretty hip and full of well dressed individuals sipping micro brews with feathers in their hairs, but Glass Pennies brought their blues punkish fusion and splurged it all over the audience. Seth (guitar) and his shredding filled up the place, bringing both a good high and low feel to the tone. His vocals were pretty bluesy and not too pretty, but they fit perfectly with the punch and crawl of the vibe. The snare hits in the songs are to die for. Those hits make that shit so punk.
